Tomas Santiago

Tomas Santiago is Argentinian professional hockey player.  He plays since this season for Royal Herakles Hockey Club in Belgium.  Santiago started playing hockey at Córdoba Athletic and later emigrated to Buenos Aires and joined the ranks of Mitre.  In 2017 he moved to Europe and started paying for La Gantoise in Belgium with who he won the Belgium ION Hockey League last season.

International Career

Tomas started his international career in 2014 with Argentina as a reserve keeper.  In 2016 he was the reserve keeper during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio (BR) where the team won the Gold Medal.  As a reserve keeper he was with the team for the 2018 Men's World Cup in India, at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima (CH) and at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.  Tomas made his debute during the 2021-2022 Pro League season.  Since then he is the number 1 keeper of the Argentinian Men's Hockey Team also called Los Leones.  Tomas is preparing as we speak the Pan American Hockey tournament that will take place end of October in Chili.  This is the qualifying event for the Olympic Games in the Summer of 2024 in Paris (FR).
